Hi, I'm Beth, and welcome to Cornish Compass, your go-to travel blog for everything Cornwall! I'm your guide, and my passion for this beautiful corner of England runs deep.
I have a wealth of knowledge and personal experience that makes me the perfect person to help you discover the hidden gems of Cornwall, the finest eateries, and family-friendly attractions.
Born and raised in Bude, I've spent all 40 years of my life exploring the ins and outs of this breathtaking county.
My love for the region has only grown with time, and I'm excited to share my passion with you, whether you're a first-time visitor or a fellow local like me.
As a mother of three children, I know firsthand the importance of finding family-friendly activities and attractions.
Over the years, my family and I have visited countless beaches, National Trust sites, and other exciting destinations across the county. I've made it my mission to find the best spots for families to enjoy, and I can't wait to share my findings with you.
My husband and I are self-proclaimed foodies too (I also run two successful food blogs Effortless Foodie and Jam & Clotted Cream, in addition to Cornish Compass), and we've made it our goal to dine at as many Cornish restaurants and cafes as possible.
From quaint countryside pubs to award-winning fine dining establishments, we've experienced the full spectrum of Cornwall's culinary scene. I'm eager to share our favorite eateries, hidden gems, and must-try dishes with you.
Here at Cornish Compass, my aim is to give you an insider's perspective on Cornwall, providing you with the most authentic, enjoyable, and up-to-date experiences this stunning county has to offer.
Whether you're seeking outdoor adventures, historical sites, family activities, or just a good meal, I'm here to help you navigate your way through the Cornish landscape!
