Public Transport & Accessbility
Having lived in Bude all of my life, I can say with some authority that it's a bit of a pain to get to without a car. I used to dread my trips to and from university in Nottingham, which involved a 2 hour bus journey to Exeter, and then a 5 hour train journey, changing at Birmingham New Street!
By far, the easiest way to reach Bude is by car, although there are regular(ish) bus services to other local towns such as Launceston, Holsworthy, and Okehampton in Devon, where you can now catch the train to Exeter.
Flying into Newquay Airport is another option, with regular flights to and from Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh. You can hire a car at the airport and enjoy the scenic 50-minute drive north to Bude!
