Flambards Theme Park
Flambards is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Cornwall, and for good reason. This fun park boasts over 20 rides and attractions, including the Hornet Rollercoaster (I last went on this 30 years ago when I was a 10-year-old girl visiting with my Brownie pack), as well as SkyRaker, the twisting drop ride. There is also a log flume, go-karts, and a traditional Sky Swinger ride.
There are plenty of things to do indoors as well, perfect for when the weather isn't on your side, including exploring the cobbled streets of a life-sized Victorian Village where you'll see Victorian Britain frozen in time.
Young families will love the traditional rides in Ferdi's Funland including the Teacups and Space Shuttles, and there's also a brand new Ferdi's indoor play area, new for 2023.
Food wise, there is plenty on offer, including at Ferdi's burger bar where you can enjoy a theme park staple - burger and chips! You're also welcome to bring your own picnic.

Camel Creek
Located near Wadebridge, Camel Creek Adventure Park (built on the site of the old Shire Horse Centre), is a large theme park that offers an array of different rides and attractions to suit visitors of all ages.
The park's main attraction is its collection of exciting rides, which includes Air Bender, its largest family coaster, the Raging Rivers log flume, and the Morgawr roller coaster.
There are also plenty of rides for younger children, such as the Pony Express and the Dizzy Dina ride, inspired by Camel Creeks very own mascot Dina the Dinosaur. In addition to the rides, the park also features a variety of indoor and outdoor play areas, including a soft play and a giant jumping pillow.
Another highlight of Camel Creek Adventure Park is its animal attractions. Visitors can get up close and personal with a range of animals, including meerkats, wallabies, and llamas. There are also regular animal shows and displays, where you can learn more about the animals and their habitats.

Adrenalin Quarry
Adrenalin Quarry is an adventure park located in Menheniot, Cornwall, UK. The park is built on the site of an old flooded quarry and offers a range of exciting activities and attractions for visitors of all ages.
One of the main attractions at Adrenalin Quarry is its aquapark (open from April), which is one the biggest in the UK. The aquapark features a range of inflatable obstacles, including slides, trampolines, and climbing walls, all situated on a large lake. Visitors can swim, slide, and jump their way around the course, making it a fun and challenging activity for all ages.
Another popular attraction is the zip line, which is 490m long, 50m high and reaches speeds of up to 40mph. Visitors can soar over the quarry, enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Hidden Valley
Hidden Valley Puzzle Park is a quirky adventure park located near Launceston (the ancient capital of Cornwall).
Young families will love the Tanglewood Hollow Play Area, while older children and adults will enjoy the Forbidden Mansion, the walk-in puzzle maze, as well as the extensive gardens and railway.
The newly refurbished Watering Hole cafe serves snacks and light lunches throughout the day. Dogs are also welcome at Hidden Valley!

Pirate's Quest
Pirate's Quest Adventure Golf in Newquay boasts 12 holes of mini golf inside their museum of Cornish myths, legends, and pirating past. It's most definitely quirky, and lots of fun too!

KidzWorld Adventure Play
Kidzworld in St Austell, open 7 days a week, is perfect for rainy days.
You can try your hand at rollerskating, trampolining, or even the Dodgems! It also has a 12-hole mini golf course and soft play area for younger children.

Trethorne Leisure Park
Trethorne Leisure Park, located just outside Launceston, is a popular family-friendly attraction that provides the perfect blend of adventure, entertainment, and education for visitors of all ages.
It offers a range of activities for visitors, including farm animals, outdoor play areas, and a spacious indoor play barn. While there is something for everyone to enjoy, the farm is especially well-suited for younger children aged 12 and under.
Visitors can participate in various hands-on activities such as bottle feeding baby animals, grooming and riding the ponies (it was the place all three of my children first rode a horse), and petting the guinea pigs in rabbits.
The on-site restaurant offers a diverse menu to cater to all tastes, and there is also a smaller cafe located in the play barn serving cakes and savoury snacks.

Gone but not forgotten
Dobwalls
Founded by John Southern in 1970, Dobwalls Adventure Park was located in the village of Dobwalls, near Liskeard, and very soon became the biggest tourist attraction in all of Cornwall before its closure in 2006.
The main attraction of the park was the 7.25-inch miniature railway network which formed a small-scale replica of two great American railroad routes.
The park closed at the end of the 2006 season for redevelopment work, but in June 2007 it was announced that it would not reopen in its original form as an adventure park. The land was subsequently purchased by a developer in 2013 and is now home to a collection of eco-friendly log cabins.
Holywell Bay
The attraction near Newquay, which featured crazy golf, water rides, giant slides, a maze, battle boats, and go-karts, announced its closure in 2018, after 30 years in operation.
