    Getting to Cornwall

There are several ways to reach Cornwall for your spa weekend. If you're travelling from within the UK, you can take a train to Truro or Penzance. The journey time from London is approximately 5 hours. For timetables and fares, visit the National Rail website.

Alternatively, you can travel by coach with services such as National Express or Megabus.

For those who prefer to drive, Cornwall is easily accessible via the M5 motorway, followed by the A30.

Don't forget Newquay airport too, especially as there is a high concentration of spa hotels in this area. With regular services running from Gatwick (operated by Eastern Airways) as well as Manchester and Edinburgh (operated by Loganair), it's worth checking prices, as there are often some bargain flights to be had.

    Best Time to Visit

Cornwall offers lovely spa retreat experiences all year round, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences. The summer months (June to August) are the most popular as the weather is warmer and there's a higher chance of sunny days – perfect for enjoying outdoor spa treatments or visiting nearby beaches. However, this is also the busiest time and can be more expensive.

If you prefer a more peaceful atmosphere, May and September are great choices. During these times, you'll still find pleasant weather and fewer crowds. In addition, many spas may offer seasonal discounts or special packages during these periods.

    Budget Tips

Here are a few tips to help you enjoy a spa weekend in Cornwall without breaking the bank:

    • Book your stay and treatments in advance – many spas offer early bird discounts or special package deals.
    • Consider visiting during spring or autumn when there might be lower prices and fewer crowds.
    • Look for day spa options instead of a full weekend. Some spas also offer half day options too.
